Fresh off performing at Paris Fashion Week, rapper and model, Kodak Black, is back with some music for your soul! Today, he decided to release “Maui Woop,” a track that features a beat that will give you XXXTENTACION vibes.

In “Maui Woop,” Kodak Black lets the world know how thankful he is for the position that he is in today. To be more specific, he’s thankful that he’s alive and well after being shot, he’s thankful that he’s been able to provide for his family and friends, and lastly, he’s thankful that he has been able to hit up Hawaii. My favorite thing about the track is that it features an emotional instrumental that gives me X’s “Jocelyn Flores” vibes. I can’t say that I love Kodak Black’s rapping style on the track (He sounds a little too woozy), but I f**k how introspective and real his lyrics are.
Kodak Black is living the American Dream; it just doesn’t look anything like your average white person’s American Dream.
