Judge & Jury
Trevor Ohlsen
A pop tune that judges the pain tied to heartbreak.
American musical creative, Trevor Ohlsen, is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and podcaster. The Iron Mountain, Michigan native attended McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2014 as a guitar performance major. However, he decided to drop out after a year to pursue a career in the music industry. In 2016, the singer decided to move back home to focus on perfecting his craft. He also signed up for Upper Michigan’s 906 Got Talent competition, where he placed second. In 2022, Ohlsen put all of his chips on the table by moving to Los Angeles to advance his music career even further; it’s safe to say that things are going well for him. His full discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Trevor Ohlsen’s latest drop is the pop single “Judge & Jury.” The song also has an accompanying official lyric video.
This song is best defined as a “bedroom pop hit.” “Judge & Jury” is soft with lots of electronic backbeats to help guide an unfortunate topic. Lyrics like “I thought I knew what heartbreak was / But no one’s ever hurt me just because” and “You wanna kick me when I’m already down / You wanna hurt me when I’m hurting right now” painfully reflect on the aftermath of a breakup. The ex seems almost vindictive with the way they’re treating Ohlsen. It’s not a good look for them. No one knows what the end result will be, but we’re rooting for Trevor to rise up and ignore the hate. So, press play below to experience a fresh take on breakups and heartache with your own “Judge & Jury.” Just don’t bring the executioner.
