Sadie Fine
A pop gem that explores a toxic love.
Nashville, Tennessee-based musical creative, Sadie Fine, is a 16-year-old, self-taught singer and songwriter. This artist initially discovered her love for singing when she was just four years old. Later, at the age of thirteen, Fine began writing her own songs; not long after, she began to teach herself how to play the guitar. She currently has a residency at the Moxy on Broadway in Nashville and is signed to the indie label Sign From The Universe. Many of Fine’s songs are pop-influenced; however, she enjoys toying with hip-hop vibes and fast lyrics. At the same time, she uses her own guitar skills to provide appropriate backgrounds. Fine’s discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. Sadie Fine’s latest drop is the pop single “Detox.”
“Detox” is not only about the painful tearing away from the toxic love Fine’s partner offers, it is also about how much she doesn’t want to do anything away from the drug of this love. Fine’s not willing to get away because the high is just too good to miss out on. Lyrics like “I’ve heard / Love is a drug and baby if it is yours is unbelievable” and “No matter what the cost or the caution / You get my heart racing, breathtaking” reflects on the struggles of being in an unhealthy relationship. However, they also brush up on the fact behind it all. Fine just doesn’t want to leave. This hit explores problematic relationships from the perspective of an obsessed drug user, the drug being toxic. So, press play below to experience the effects of a “Detox” for yourself.
