Cordae Drops “The Water” Freestyle

The Water (The Freestyle)

Cordae

There’s something in the water that has Cordae rapping like the rent is due.

Doesn’t it feel like Cordae is singlehandedly trying to end the narrative that the young rappers of today can’t spit? I just feel like he always raps with a chip on his shoulder. Last week, Cordae released a freestyle he did with Machine Gun Kelly over Central Cee’s “Doja Cat” beat. Today, he has made his quick return with another freestyle called “The Water.”

In “The Water (The Freestyle),” Cordae speaks on the many life lessons he has been able to gain on his journey to success. He also confirms that he has a few people he wants to prove wrong. Throughout the song, which is powered by this spellbinding/hard-hitting beat, the Maryland rapper relies on subtle punchlines and a somewhat abnormal flow to get his points across. Though I wouldn’t say he killed this s**t, I would say that I f**k with the confidence that he displays.

Give “The Water (Freestyle)” a shot below.
