Joyner Lucas Recruits NBA YoungBoy For “Cut U Off”

Cut U Off

Joyner Lucas (Ft. NBA YoungBoy)

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t see this collaboration coming at all.

If I was a rapper, I would want to be in Joyner Lucas’s shoes. I love that Joyner isn’t signed to another rapper and has no clear affiliations. I also like that his label gives him tons of money to work with other artists (No offense, but I can’t see folks working with him for free). With that being said, today, Joyner decided to release a new single with NBA YoungBoy called “Cut U Off.”

Even though Joyner Lucas and NBA YoungBoy are two completely different artists, in “Cut U Off,” they are on the same page. In the song, which is powered by this action-packed beat, both Joyner and YoungBoy talk about stacking money, shooting guns, and cutting off individuals that are bad for their health. While the former shines by hitting us with dynamic flows and tons of aggression, the latter hits us with feverish flows and passionate vocals. All in all, I rock with the way Joyner and YoungBoy’s styles mesh.
