JID & Lil Yachty Paint A Perfect Picture In “Van Gogh”

Van Gogh

JID & Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty and JID dropped a two-pack on Friday.

Lil Yachty and JID have two completely different styles. One is a highly skilled MC who doesn’t mess around whenever he’s around the mic, and the other loves to experiment with autotune and switch his rapping styles often. Somehow, someway, in their new two-pack EP, their styles merge well. Earlier, I posted one of the tracks from the project, “Half Doin Dope.” Below, I will talk about the other song: “Van Gogh.”

“Van Gogh” is powered by this gassy, dark beat that fits both JID and Lil Yachty’s styles perfectly. Since this is the case, you get very good verses out of the two artists. Both rap with unbothered tones and speedy flows. As for lyrically, Yachty and JID talk about toting guns, chicks that look like Taraji, and sipping on codeine without coughing. I personally believe this song is the better of the two that were released.

Will DaBaby sue Lil Yachty for stealing his signature flow? Will JID still be rapping at 73 when his buddy gets out of jail? Find out next time on Ratings Game Music!
