I love the new Janelle Monaé. She’s carefree and all about embracing her wins and knockers. I feel like Janelle Monaé picked the perfect people to be on this remix to “Champagne S**t.” Quavo’s bombastic energy and Latto’s aggressive, cocky raps perfectly fit the song’s elegant but explosive vibes. The two artists also do an excellent job of coming across as individuals living their best lives and embracing their wins; topics that stay true to what Janelle was talking about in the original version of the song. Overall, I think this remix to “Champagne S**t” feels right.
