R. City Mixes UK Drill With A Caribbean Twist In “WAPA”

The legendary Rock City (aka R. City) is back with a new single for your head top.

There’s a good chance you’ve either heard a Rock City song or something they’ve written. In the midst of dropping hits like “Losing It” and “Locked Away,” they also wrote records for artists such as Usher, Sean Kingston, Akon, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and more. Thus far in 2023, the duo, which goes by R.City now, has dropped a few major singles. One of them is the UK drill, Caribbean fusion piece “WAPA.”

“WAPA” might be the hardest record that R. City has ever made. In the song, which is powered by this tangy drill beat that has a splash of Caribbean vibes, the two artists hit us with hard-hitting, grungy bars. They talk about spoiling chicks that are worth spoiling, their favorite dishes, and their readiness for smoke, whether it’s beef or some good green. I think the flows they toy with are very impressive, their confidence sounds like it’s on 1000, and their trash-talking is immaculate.

Give R. City’s “WAPA” a shot below.
