One of my favorite recent projects is Smino’s Luv 4 Rent. In this album, he showcased his vocal talents more prominently than his rapping abilities, which, in my opinion, is the key to his success. Just this past Friday, Smino dropped a new track called “Mr. Pinterest,” reaffirming that his rap skills remain sharp and on point.
“Mr. Pinterest” features one of the greatest beats of all time, originally used in Ludacris’ hit “What’s Your Fantasy.” Smino, over this beat, exudes confidence with his slick deliveries as he boasts about his luxury cars, top-tier cannabis, and attractive companions. He also repeatedly challenges his competition throughout the track. For those of y’all who thought s**t was sweet because Smino added a bunch of love songs to Luv 4 Rent, this freestyle will prove you wrong.
