Kodak Black Continues His Crooning With “2’CY”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Kodak Black should audition for American Idol.

Depending on who you ask, Kodak Black may have had a great week or a bad week. A few days ago, his Drink Champs episode hit the airwaves. Some people thought he was saying some deep stuff in it, while others thought he was a little too unchained and off-kilter. Personally, I am somewhere in the middle with it. Whatever the case may be, people are talking about Kodak. More people will be talking about him too because he decided to release a new single called “2’CY.”

For some odd reason, Kodak Black thinks he’s the second coming of Mariah Carey these days. Just a few days ago, he dropped a track called “Eaze Your Mind,” in which he sang his heart out. In “2’CY,” he does the same thing. Over this slight Jersey Club beat, the Pompano Beach native croons about dealing with a chick that he seems to want a very casual relationship with. But you know, and I know, that a casual relationship for a rapper is definitely different from what we consider casual relationships (They want everything that we mere mortals have to work hard for, minus the commitment). Do I love the song? Hell no. Do I like the fact that Kodak isn’t afraid to experiment with different sounds? Hell yeah.

Do Gremlins sing?
