Jack Harlow Goes Back To His Fun-Loving Ways In “Lovin On Me”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Jack Harlow is 75-0 with a sample.

Jack Harlow’s last album was way too damn serious. In it, he talked about his friends catching rape charges, family issues, and the white race stealing from black culture. While many felt he needed to showcase that introspective side for validation, I firmly believe in doing what you do best until someone no longer thinks you do it the best. That said, at the end of the day, Harlow is at his best when making fun club bangers. Thankfully, today, he returned to the scene with a fun club banger called “Lovin On Me.”

In “Lovin On Me,” Jack Harlow talks about wanting to have fun with chicks, not relationships (Other than the weirdos on 90 Day Fiancé, who the f**k wants to be tied down at 20?). The song’s overall setup matches Harlow’s carefree lyrics. It features an uptempo beat that boasts chill club vibes and a very infectious sample on the hook. Do I love that he sounds too cool for school throughout? No, but this song isn’t about quality; it’s about quantity…of women (OK, I just tried to sound cool and bombed)!

Jack Harlow is the Jordan Poole of rap. He can spit but doesn’t do the little things to make a song great.
