One of Fat Joe’s well-known monikers is ‘Joey Crack.’ At a certain juncture in his career, he was practically shouting it in almost every track he featured on. Despite the assumption from his content that he might be referencing drug dealing with this nickname, its origins are actually much more straightforward.
On Twitter recently, Fat Joe revealed that his Joey Crack moniker originated from women teasing him about his ass crack constantly being exposed when he was younger. “They call me Joey crack ’cause the crack of my ass show whenever I stand up, girls in my hood gave me the name,” Joe shared with a laughing emoji. He then clarified, “It was never because of the drug crack.”
While the reason involving an ass crack is considerably more wholesome than the one involving selling crack, both are undeniably wild explanations.
