Lil Yachty Flirts With A New Style In “The Paradigm”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Lil Yachty is an alien.

Lil Yachty continues to showcase his impressive versatility, seamlessly transitioning across genres. In just this year, he’s demonstrated his skills in hip-hop, pop, EDM, alternative pop, and rock. In fact, on Friday, he dropped two singles, and one of them is a hard-hitting trap song with Southside called “Gimme Da Lite.” His second single from Friday, titled “The Paradigm,” sees him embracing his Nickleback side.

Black people probably won’t f**k with this track, but who cares what we think, right? All jokes aside, this is an awe-inspiring effort from Lil Boat. In “The Paradigm,” Lil Yachty unveils his angelic vocals and infectious voice cracks against an atmospheric beat reminiscent of something you might hear at a Timeshare presentation. Lyrically, his words carry a vibe akin to advice from a yoga instructor. While the song might not find a permanent spot in my playlist, I certainly appreciate its unique approach.

Lil Yachty is the MVP of 2023 (I am convinced).
