“In Two” By Henry Aberson Hurts More Than Any Breakup Would

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Henry Aberson, a versatile instrumentalist, embarked on his musical journey in 2018, initially as a drummer and a producer/collaborator. The same year, he co-released the collaborative EP Oliver / Aberson with Stephanie Oliver, marking the beginning of numerous projects with various musicians.

Aberson’s notable releases include “Needy,” “Sunshine Hunt,” and “Gotta Be,” showcasing his talent for infusing contemporary melodies with modern R&B and pop influences. Henry’s latest offering, “In Two,” is a joint effort with Nariah Taylor.

Together, Henry and Nariah craft an infectious, jazz-contemporary R&B fusion that captivates listeners. The track’s production seamlessly blends with Nariah’s ethereal vocals as she navigates the pain of lost love. Reflecting on missed red flags and the realization that her partner never truly loved her, Nariah undergoes the stages of heartbreak, portraying confusion that transforms into deep-seated pain. “In Two” resonates with those who appreciate mid-tempo, bass-filled compositions reminiscent of artists like Erykah Badu and D’Angelo.
