Flowers For Juno Say “It’s Not My Fault”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Ironically, Flowers For Juno continues to create exceptionally beautiful music for all of us. Following last month’s release of “Physical Culture (This is Why I’m Single),” the band returns with their latest track, “It’s Not My Fault.”

“It’s Not My Fault” is a love song that delves into the delicate balance between obsession and adoration, unification and fragmentation, and loving and overloving. Upon my initial listening to the track, I was impressed by the raw and genuine expression of Benjó James’s love for his partner. However, upon subsequent listening, I began to contemplate the healthiness of his love and the intricacies of the emotions portrayed in the song.

Sonically, there is much to appreciate in this song. “It’s Not My Fault” features distorted guitars and resonant drums expertly played by Jack Wilson. The vocals, delivered by Benjó, intensify progressively throughout the song. In my view, he adeptly portrays an individual sinking into the quicksand of his lover’s heart; though it may sound melancholic, it could be a state he desires. When you add the robust gothic elements to the mix, the result is a passionate, stimulating track that consistently maintains impactful vibes.
