Dumoni The Jig Wants “More”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Dumoni The Jig, also known as Adenuga Adedumoni, is an artist of Nigerian origin currently based in the United Kingdom. Known for his versatile musical style, Dumoni explores genres such as hip-hop, R&B, and afro-fusion, showcasing his refusal to be confined to a single musical category. Some of his notable tracks include “Anticipating,” “Maria,” and “Oh I.” His latest release is the single titled “More.”

In “More,” Dumoni The Jig delves into the experience of dealing with a confident and alluring woman who possesses a captivating walk, an attractive physique, and the ability to engage in enticing conversation. The track suggests that her allure is so powerful that Dumoni finds himself drawn to her like a hypnotized subject.

While I appreciate Dumoni’s impressive lyrics, I find myself drawn even more to the song’s style. “More” is fueled by a mesmerizing, flute-heavy instrumental that possesses an entrancing quality, evoking images of either a snake or a captivating woman emerging from a vase. Dumoni skillfully immerses himself in the production, beginning with a laidback delivery that gradually transforms into a display of intense passion. The catchy hook he lays down further enhances the overall appeal of the track.

I will have this song on repeat for the next few days. It’s super infectious.
