EMMY Shares “The Saddest Part”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Los Angeles-based EMMY, also known as Emmy Hartman, is a 24-year-old artist renowned for crafting stunning tunes that defy convention. Her journey to fame began in 2017 when she went viral as “the girl who filmed her own emotional breakdown” after receiving a traffic ticket while en route to a concert. Building on her TikTok success, where she delighted followers with acapella covers of artists like Lorde and Billie Eilish, EMMY made her official debut in 2021 with the single “STUPID BIG TEETH.” Following this, she released the single “COOL GIRL” in 2023. The pop song “The Saddest Part” serves as the opening track on EMMY’s new EP, “Mouthful,” and is accompanied by an official music video.

With its vibrant blend of dreamy electronic tones and dance-inducing beats, “The Saddest Part” provides the perfect backdrop to beautifully contrast the tune’s emotional exploration. Lyrics like “When the twin flame burns out, No one tells you how soon, You feel the cold, In your soul” and “Shamefully I’d smile when you, Break me in a thousand pieces, Sweep me up while I’m still bleeding” offer a vulnerable tale about the painful aftermath of heartbreak. Fueled by its ear-pleasing vocals and a delightfully dynamic soundscape, EMMY gifts us with a cleverly crafted pop gem that intimately examines loss and heartache. So, press play and experience “The Saddest Part.”
