Nardo Wick Links Up With Sexyy Red For “Somethin'”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Nardo Wick and Sexyy Red may not yet be A-listers in the hip-hop scene, but their music is certainly resonating with younger fans. In “Somethin’,” Nardo Wick’s latest single, the two artists come together to deliver a collaborative track.

“Somethin'” paints a vivid picture of a ghetto love story. In the darkest way, Nardo Wick expresses his infatuation with a woman who captivates him like no other. At the same time, Sexyy Red adds her perspective with lyrics celebrating her penchant for wild encounters, including car sex and attraction to shaky individuals.

Despite its romantic theme, “Somethin'” carries a dark undertone in its sound. Fueled by a menacing trap beat more suited for shootouts than tender moments, the track contrasts sharply with its lyrical content. Nardo Wick delivers his trademark whispery vocals, exuding a laid-back vibe, while Sexyy Red injects the track with her signature ratchet rap style.

Is there anything better than dating a ratchet girl?
