KidDave & Dxnny WYS Ask Can You “Love Me”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I’m flabbergasted that KidDave is only 19 years old. I say that because this Australian rapper, producer, and songwriter has such a good feel for music that it’s easy to assume that he’s much older. While his specialty is in dropping hard-hitting bangers, every once in a while, he’s capable of venturing out to different types of genres. In “Love Me,” he does just that.

You don’t get to hear many hip-hop love songs these days, which annoys me a little. “Love Me” is the definition of one. In this short but sweet track, KidDave and Dxnny WYS speak on the positive, romantic impact that their partners have had on them. They also ask important questions revolving around everything from loyalty to romantic aid.

In “Love Me,” we are gifted with a smooth, uptempo R&B trap beat. The good news is that both KidDave and Dxnny WYS both meet it at the rim with highly infectious melodic raps. When you’re truly in love, you gotta let the aggression go, right?

Give “Love Me” by KidDave and Dxnny WYS a shot below.
