5. Long Distance Lover (Ft. SeQuence Clark)

The one love song on this album, and it’s fire.

“Long Distance Lover” pleasantly surprised me on this album. Despite my initial concern about the absence of a relationship-based track, this song delivers excellently. SeQuence Clark’s soulful and passionate hook, combined with the smooth beat, creates a captivating atmosphere. T.E.E’s thoughtful lyrics dedicated to his significant other are conveyed through chill rap deliveries, consistent flows, and a touch of gentleness. I predict that this track will be a favorite among listeners.

4. Propane

You get one of the most debonair beats I’ve ever heard in “Propane.”

“Propane” showcases T.E.E’s versatility as a rapper, with its unique 007-style beat that may not seem like typical rap material. However, T.E.E effortlessly makes it work, employing various flows, from tricky to slow-burning, all while maintaining a laid-back demeanor. Additionally, guest artist Blac Kami contributes a slick and punchy rap verse that enhances the track’s dynamic sound.

3. Uber Backseat Freestyle

I absolutely love that “Uber Backseat Freestyle” opens this album.

In “Uber Backseat Freestyle,” T.E.E speaks on the ways music gets his mind flowing, how he still calls Carolina home, even though he no longer lives there, and how his new place fits his gritty style. He also calls out people who judge others and reminds us all how competitive he is.

“Uber Backseat Freestyle” caters to enthusiasts of raw hip-hop, offering a laid-back beat with therapeutic undertones. T.E.E’s delivery is seamless as he delivers introspective bars with a consistent and steady flow throughout the track.

2. Soul Fire

This song might have the best beat on this album.

“Soul Fire” immediately grabs your attention with its hard-hitting and spellbinding beat. Within this track, T.E.E delivers one of his most introspective performances on the album. He confronts fake rappers, reflects on his journey, and anticipates his future, all while emphasizing his continuous growth. His calm and unbothered tone stands out. Despite this, his lyrics remain concise and impactful, showcasing his mastery of words.

1. Work

I might play this track every single morning for motivational purposes.

First and foremost, kudos must go to the producer of this track for their fantastic flip of TLC’s “Creep” beat. As for T.E.E, his delivery in the song is punchy and emphatic as he emphasizes the importance of striving for your share and being cautious of those you collaborate with. Alongside his insightful lyrics, the simplicity and memorability of his chorus add to the track’s appeal.

OVERALL RATING

(B-)

The best word to describe Everything is “pure.” This project emphasizes clear and concise raps in a landscape where many rappers experiment with singing and diverse beats. Its aim is to inspire, motivate, and tap into the competitive spirit that resides within us all.

The production in Everything stands out as one of its strongest aspects. It’s remarkably versatile, offering a range of styles from boom-bap to R&B to soulful beats. What’s impressive is how T.E.E maintains his signature chill rap tone across these varied instrumentals, resulting in a cohesive and seamless flow throughout the project.

Throughout this review, it’s evident that I admire the classic sound of T.E.E’s rap style. He maintains a steady and mellow energy, skillfully riding beats and delivering memorable quotes without veering into experimental or overly eccentric territory. If you prefer more conventional hip-hop music over the avant-garde, this album will likely resonate with you.
