3. Infidelity

“Infidelity” never sounded so good.

Who said heartbreak always has to sound depressing? In “Infidelity,” CJB candidly confesses to his partner that despite his efforts, he continues to engage in behaviors eroding her trust. Ultimately, he acknowledges imperfection, urging her to empathize with his struggles. Despite the track’s somber undertones, it boasts an irresistibly catchy hook, lush island vibes that resonate with me, and CJB’s slick vocal delivery, making it an immensely enjoyable listen.

2. July 12

July 12 is usually a hot day in America…

“July 12” is probably the strongest track on this project. It combines vivid production with two or three different highly infectious melodies. Content-wise, CJB does a fantastic job of showing the world his vulnerable side. In his verses, he speaks on wanting that one special person in his life that can make his success and lavish lifestyle even more worth it. I just love how this song can be something you can turn to when you are depressed or something you can bump at a brunch.

1. in2u

“in2u” is a smash hit.

In “in2u,” CJB boldly and unapologetically proclaims his love for his chick. He brings up all the things she does that makes him smile and promises to be a better person for her as long as they are together. S**t is heartwarming.

One of the reasons I think “in2u” is a fun listen is because I think it perfectly captures what it sounds like to be in love with someone so much that you almost sound like you’re in a daze. Throughout the song, CJB gets lost in this dreamy/colorful instrumentation that prompts him to sound as intoxicating as ever. You can’t make these feelings up without actually experiencing them.
