Gee Litt Shows No Remorse in “Jan 18”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Virginia-based independent singer and songwriter Gee Litt’s musical journey is a testament to her passion and dedication. From humble beginnings as a church performer, Gee’s talent and hard work propelled her to gain local traction through her music. She grew not only as an artist but also as an entrepreneur, recording studio owner, sound engineer, and, most importantly, one of Virginia’s most influential upcoming artists. Tracks such as “WHILE WE WANT,” “Solo,” and “ADORE YOU” vividly capture Gee’s life experiences and beautiful melodies. Her latest single, “Jan 18,” is featured on her latest EP, Good Grief.

“Jan 18” delves into Gee’s emotional process following a painful breakup. She reflects on the love she and her partner once shared before everything changed. As her ex pulls back, Gee slowly grows colder to protect herself from the hurt. Though grieving, Gee accepts the breakup is not her fault and begins to move on. A laidback, soulful backdrop blends with her soothing vocals and captures the pain behind a nonchalant persona.
