Ne-Yo is on the comeback trail.

Ne-Yo’s debut album, In My Own Words, turned me into a man. Particularly, it made me embrace a mad chick and stay poised when a love song came on. Almost 20 years later, Ne-Yo is still creating high-quality music.

Ne-Yo’s latest single is “2 Million Secrets.” In it, he shows off his wonderful vocals and fantastic writing skills.

In “2 Million Secrets,” Ne-Yo talks about being caught doing some bad s**t by his chick. Now he’s sweating his ass off waiting for his sentencing.

There are a few reasons this track struck a chord with me. First and foremost, I absolutely believe Ne-Yo is a sneaky n***a when it comes to relationships. Secondly, I absolutely love how the song has this soothing but incomplete feel that almost makes it feel suspenseful in a way. Lastly, I think Ne-Yo’s soothing vocal performance on the track is wonderful.

Ne-Yo probably needs to hit up Shaggy. He’ll tell you how to lie effectively.
