Ross Palmer Has Some Fun In “Light It Up”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I want to hear “Light It Up” at a club right now.

Ross Palmer is a talented rapper/producer from New Orleans. With some of hip-hop’s best, such as Kanye West, Drake, Future, Frank Ocean, and more, as his inspirations, Palmer has done a great job of creating impactful tracks full of authentic lyrics and appealing flavors.

Some of Ross Palmer’s biggest singles include “Ain’t Gonna Cut” and “Crazy.” His latest single is the very enjoyable “Light It Up.”

In a follow-up to his last single, “Aint Gonna Cut,” which speaks on recent heartbreak he’s gone through, Ross Palmer talks about bouncing back by partying recklessly in “Light It Up.” The first thing that will catch your attention about the track is the production: it’s bouncy as hell, smooth, and has a nice tempo. The second thing that will catch your attention is Ross’ hella infectious melodic raps. They are Bryson Tiller/Drake-like and just fun as hell to listen to. All in all, “Light It Up” is a vibe that someone who is newly single will enjoy (Actually, everyone will enjoy this s**t).
