Wildcard continues to make hard-hitting music.

When I think of hip-hop veterans, one of the first people that comes to mind is Wildcard. Not only has he been at this for years, but he also raps with incredible skill and delves into topics in his music that go far beyond the basics.

So far, Wildcard has had an eventful 2024. He’s released singles like “The Gemini Dance,” “Taurus Jacket,” and “Aries World.” His latest single is the powerful “Cancer Circle,” featuring Tacoma rapper BARZI.

In “Cancer Circle,” Wildcard details a relationship lacking trust, mainly due to outside distractions and bad habits. In his lone verse, he employs an extra punchy delivery and relentless flow to get his points across, which sounds fabulous over C-Lance’s hard-hitting production. He also delivers an emotional and intoxicating hook. As for BARZI, he produces a slick verse that showcases his ability to craft tongue-twisting flows and his determination to succeed. All in all, this is a great track with tons of wake-up calls.
