JT & Jeezy Are The Perfect Match In “OKAY (Remix)”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Snowman and the City Girl.

While I am kind of sad that City Girls broke up, I do think this will end up being a blessing in disguise for JT and Yung Miami. Particularly, I believe it will allow them to get creative with which direction they want their music to go. When it comes to JT, she has embraced this gutter sound that I think works for her but doesn’t necessarily work for Yung Miami.

One of JT’s latest singles that has done some pretty good numbers is “OKAY.” Today, a well-needed remix to the track that features Jeezy hit streaming services.

The moment I pressed play on the original version of “OKAY,” I knew the song was inspired by Jeezy’s sound, so it shouldn’t surprise you at all that the Atlanta legend shines on this remix to it. Over a beat that belongs on Thug Motivation 101: Let’s Get It, Jeezy reminds us that he’s still balling, that his longevity can’t be matched, that he paid attention to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, and, most importantly, that he’s still moving more weight than Ozempic. I think his verse is outstanding.

This is the version of Jeezy that deserves a spot on everyone’s all-time rappers list.
