Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Y’all need to put respect on Killer Mike’s name.

Killer Mike’s journey to becoming a Grammy Award-winning rapper was a long one. After over 20 years in the hip-hop game, with numerous classic albums and impressive collaborations, Mike finally took home Grammy hardware this year, winning Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. Before you think his competition was weak, remember he beat out heavyweights like Travis Scott, Drake, and Metro Boomin.

Unfortunately, during one of the greatest nights of his life, Killer Mike was arrested, turning it into a bittersweet night. In his latest single, “HUMBLE ME,” Mike, as he’s done for years, talks about rising again.

In “HUMBLE ME,” Killer Mike talks about his major come-up, bringing up how he got it out of the mud to now rocking shiny diamonds and meeting with influential individuals. He also talks about his crazy Grammy night debacle. As expected, we get tons of passion out of Mike, as, over the song’s hard-hitting beat, he raps like a dude who is ready to go to war with Beelzebub.

Killer Mike is HIM.
