DaBaby Drops “NAN

Rating: 4 out of 5.

DaBaby’s confidence will never leave.

Recently, I watched a video of DaBaby bragging about still being up after many people tried to write him off. To describe his career as trending upward might be a slight stretch, but I do love the fact that he has never stopped working (aka releasing music).

This year alone, we’ve already gotten a brief EP and a couple of singles from DaBaby. Most are OK at best. However, his new s**t, “NAN,” is some s**t I f**k with.

In “NAN,” DaBaby explains why he’s still regarded as that n***a (No Ryan Garcia). He talks about his nice watches, willingness to shoot folks, and all the records he sold. There’s no mention of his flows. What I love about the track is how frantic it sounds. Not only is it powered by a quick-paced beat, but DaBaby does a good job of keeping up with it by utilizing a couple of swift flows while also having the tone of a black robot. Overall, I think the track is just catchy as hell.

I know a couple of people like DaBaby. That Mexican OT is one of those people.

True! DaBaby seemed like he was a star that burned out, but this feels like vintage baby. If he gets some better beats (like this) and is more selective in what he releases, he could be back up!

I fully agree. This is the kind of music he can excel at making. I still rock with him.
