Strick & Future Both Play Crooner In “RECIPE FOR LOVE”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Damn, Strick is the only artist to slow Future’s ass down.

My homie Uche made a great observation recently. He pointed out that if the year were to end today, he would nominate Future as artist of the year. Thanks to him, we’ve witnessed one of the best hip-hop beefs ever, along with two exceptionally solid albums: “WE DON’T TRUST YOU” and “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU.”

After a period of relative silence following his two major projects, Future has made a comeback today with a feature on Strick’s latest song, “RECIPE FOR LOVE.”

Future decided to showcase his softer side in “RECIPE FOR LOVE,” passionately singing about falling in love around 6 AM, upgrading a chick, and navigating temptations. Strick follows suit, delivering a vulnerable verse where he reflects on his relationship challenges. While their singing may not win them a singing contest, their emotional depth is noteworthy.

This is kind of a strange track…
