Warren Hue is a Swiss Army Knife musician.
When it comes to talented, up-and-coming artists that you should be investing in, Warren Hue is at the top of the list. When he ventures into R&B, he evokes the style of Frank Ocean. When he dabbles in hip-hop, he comes across as a slightly more refined Jack Harlow. Those comparisons alone should make you excited about him.
You can argue that 2024 has been Warren Hue’s most impressive year. He linked up with Offset and 88rising for “SLOPES,” and dropped successful solo singles such as “SPLIT” and “RODEO.” Today, Warren returned to the music scene with a rap banger called “BLACKONBLACK FREESTYLE.”
“BLACKONBLACK FREESTYLE” is powered by a bass-heavy, hard-hitting beat that just knocked the Cinnamon Toast Crunch off the top of my fridge. Over it, Warren Hue uses a robotic, relentless flow to speak on his determination to get to the bag, the respect he gets from his city, and his playa ways when it comes to dealing with chicks. He also mentions his love for the Migos, which I thought was cool. Though I feel the track is something slight for Warren, I can still see it going crazy in clubs.
