A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Links Up With Juelz Santana For “Friendly”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Juelz Santana slid his ass off in this track.

New York City’s hip-hop scene has been thriving for so long that different generations are beginning to overlap. For example, Juelz Santana, Cam’ron, and Dipset made their mark in 2004 and continue to be active today. Meanwhile, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has been holding it down for the city since the mid-2010s.

Recently, both artists dropped new music: A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie released an album called Better Off Alone, and Juelz Santana put out a couple of singles. The two artists also collaborated on a new track called “Friendly.”

More Heat: A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – Better Off Alone (Album Review)

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Juelz Santana shine in their own unique ways in “Friendly.” Over a slick backdrop that would sound good in a chill lounge or through some earphones, both artists come across as individuals who effortlessly floss, are ready to throw hands if needed, and love finessing chicks. While it’s Juelz’s witty, assertive raps that I like the most, A Boogie’s melodic raps and homage to 50 Cent definitely caught my attention too.

I love hearing old n***as link up with new n***as like this! Check out A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Juelz Santana’s new collaboration single “Friendly’ below.
