SUMif Recreates “Casual”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

We needed this danceable version of “Casual.”

I have a strong appreciation for regular DJs, but I absolutely love down-to-earth, carefree DJs even more. SUMif, the US-based electropop phenom known as Steph Wells, embodies this vibe perfectly. She’s already garnered praise from various publications and has secured spots on numerous Spotify playlists. Some of her standout singles include “Lay Down,” “In with Me,” and “Want Your Love.”

Recently, SUMif decided that Chappell Roan’s “Casual” deserved a dance remix, so she took it upon herself to create one.

I absolutely love this track. The energetic vibes are something you can totally get lost in, especially when you’re in a spot with great speakers and good company. It masterfully balances dance-pop with alternative pop, creating a captivating, bouncy, passionate, and just downright enjoyable mix. So, how did SUMif pull this off? By nailing the perfect tempo and infusing it with just the right amount of psychedelic and infectious moments.
