3. GIRLS
The Kid LAROI proves he could’ve thrived in the early 2000s.
If I take this track back to 2001 via my handy time machine, nobody will feel confused when I play it. “GIRLS” boasts a classic The Neptunes-like beat that artists like Clipse used to dominate. Over it, The Kid LAROI delivers a versatile performance with slick, passionate, and angelic vocals. Lyrically, he talks about living in the moment with girls who want to live on the edge. Personally, I believe LAROI killed this s**t.
2. HEAVEN
This song is heavenly.
In “HEAVEN,” The Kid LAROI reflects on his past reckless lifestyle and the precarious situations he found himself in. He expresses a desire for change and acknowledges the support of someone special who is willing to help him without expecting anything in return.
I think this song is gorgeous. From The Kid LAROI’s passionate vocals to his lovely melodies to the instrumentation that eventually blooms into something therapeutic, The Kid LAROI perfectly nails pulling at our heartstrings.
1. THOUSAND MILES
“Thousand Miles” is an infectious track that will make you reconsider dating someone who has internal battles that they need to fight.
“Thousand Miles” features beautiful melodies, deep lyrics, and an instrumental that knocks but also has a serene vibe. Personally, I think songs like this really showcase The Kid LAROI’s special skills.

Well, s**t, I really like this deluxe version of THE FIRST TIME, huh?
You might find this funny, but The Kid LAROI is one of the few artists who gives me chills. I love his raw, unfiltered approach to singing, his fearless handling of love and heartbreak, and how he crafts complex, infectious choruses and melodies. In THE FIRST TIME, LAROI really put his versatility on display, showing off his ability to tackle any style of track (Which I didn’t love). In the deluxe version of the project, he leans more into hip-hop and sounds more at ease, though he’s less experimental. Some of the tracks at the end of the album are unbelievably good. Overall, this version of LAROI showcases him as one of the top artists in the game.
