Doechii Drops “Boom Bap”

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Doechii is unbelievably talented.

I really want the world to realize how f**king talented Doechii is. If I told you that the same person that dropped the dance-ready “Alter Ego” is the same person that dropped the sugary “Persuasive” is the same person that dropped “What It Is,” you would call me crazy, right? Well, it is!

Today, Doechii dropped a new single called “Boom Bap.” In the track, she flirts with a heavy boom-bap sound (She is a chameleon).

So, “Boom Bap” is powered by this soulful beat that starts off stripped-down but eventually gets some bass added to it. Over it, Doechii brings this extra aggressive, super playful rap style that sounds a little annoying, a little fire, and a little outlandish. As for lyrically, she talks about delivering the boom bap s**t people want out of her and linking up with artists like J. Cole to satisfy her hungry rap fans. The song feels like satire if I’m being real with you.

Doechii just had her poopety scoop moment.
