Mr. Officer, one of these dudes robbed me.
Here’s a random question for you: Is Northern Virginia considered part of the East Coast? I was dating someone from Atlanta who said I sounded like a fake New Yorker.
I’m asking because a new single titled “Boyz N Da Hood” just dropped today, featuring Juelz Santana, Meek Mill, Jim Jones, and Rowdy Rebel. As a fan of East Coast hip-hop, I was excited to see all four artists—who hail from New York City or Philadelphia—collaborate.
“Boyz n Da Hood” is driven by a menacing beat with heavy bass and explosive verses from all four rappers. Meek Mill raps about handling unruly women and indulging in lavish vacations. Jim Jones flexes his club exploits and his Glock. Rowdy Rebel delivers a fiery verse, flaunting his bulletproof trucks and female shooters. Juelz Santana, with standout punchlines, boasts about outshining others and his independence from stylists. While Juelz’s verse is my favorite for its sharp lines, each rapper brings their A-game to this track.
This track would’ve been amazing in 2013.
