Rob49 Returns With “I Swear To God”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Is this the track that catapults Rob49 to Ritchie Rich’s status?

Rob49 is an intriguing figure in the music scene. He’s appeared on major albums like Travis Scott’s Utopia and collaborated with big names like Lil Wayne and Cardi B. Despite this, he hasn’t quite reached household-name status. It’s puzzling, especially considering the acclaim others with similar profiles receive. Maybe 49’s new single, “I Swear To God,” is the track that will propel him to the next level.

“I Swear To God” by Rob49 is a track that celebrates badass women with lyrics about splurging on someone special and stealing them away from their main dude. The bass-heavy beat, infused with New Orleans influences, sets a solid backdrop for the track. Rob49’s catchy chorus is a standout, though his energy level throughout feels a bit laid-back, almost like he’s just woken up from a nap after mowing Rick Ross’s lawn. Overall, I think the track is something that will go crazy in clubs.

When I go out tomorrow, I’m going to say everything Rob49 says to his woman in this track.
