Rod Wave “Falling Fast In Love” Review

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I’m looking forward to Rod Wave’s upcoming album.

More than ever, there’s a clear distinction between the big dogs and the JGs (just guys) in hip-hop. In my eyes, Rod Wave is firmly in the big dog category. His albums consistently sell well, and personally, I’ve been bumping his music more than any other rapper over the past year. So, it’s no surprise that I’m just as excited as everyone else for his upcoming album, dropping on October 10th. While we’ve already heard one single from it, “Passport Junkie,” today, he decided to treat us with another new track.

One of the surprising things about “Passport Junkie” was that it wasn’t a sad song at all. Surprisingly, “Fall Fast in Love” follows suit. In this track, Rod Wave opens up about falling fast in love and hoping the feeling is mutual. Set against an emotional backdrop with slight trap elements, the song delivers a vulnerable and passionate vocal performance from Rod, showcasing a side of him that resonates with listeners who aren’t afraid to embrace their true emotions.
