Drake is ending up on all kinds of songs these days.
The one downside of Drake’s 20 v 1 situation is that for most of this year, we haven’t seen many collaborations between him and other big-name artists. Instead, we’ve mostly gotten songs with him alongside lesser-known artists like Gordo and Snow4dy. That trend continues with “Modo Capone,” a new track he’s on with Chino Pacas & Fuerza Regida.
Someone must’ve dared Drake to hop on this track, because this s**t makes zero sense. In “Modo Capone,” a track featuring mean guitar strings and a traditional Corrido sound, the Toronto native delivers heartfelt vocals mixed with Spanish lyrics. His delivery sounds a bit shaky at first but eventually smooths out. The good news is that Drake isn’t left on an island, as Chino Pacas handles much of the heavy lifting with his own vocals. Overall, it’s cool to hear Drake experimenting heavily like this, and the song definitely has its catchy moments.
Just give me a Modelo, some Birria tacos, and a bad chick with this song, and I might just end up giving it six stars.
