The Alchemist Recruits Freddie Gibbs For “Ferraris In The Rain 2”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Folks need to start checking the weather more.

It’s safe to say 2024 was a massive year for The Alchemist. Not only did he produce the iconic diss track “Meet The Grahams,” but he also dropped a full-length project just a few months ago. While I wasn’t entirely sold on how much he channeled Action Bronson in parts of the album, the project still boasted incredible beats and stellar guest features. One standout track was “Ferrari In The Rain” with ScHoolboy Q. Today, a remix of that track hit streaming services, now featuring Freddie Gibbs.

“Ferraris In The Rain 2” perfectly aligns with Freddie Gibbs’ strengths, so it’s no surprise he dominates the track. In it, Gibbs unleashes a relentless flow, flexing about his greatness, flashy watches, wild encounters with women, and remarkable rise to success. While it might feel like he’s just having fun with the track, it still serves as a reminder of how lethal he can be, especially when teamed up with The Alchemist.

If the industry didn’t blackball Freddie Gibbs, he would be a much bigger rapper (Yes, I believe he’s been blackballed).
