Rating: 4 out of 5.The streets haven’t been the same since Summer Walker has been absent.
There are many talented female R&B singers, but my personal favorite is Summer Walker. What I really appreciate about her is her fearless honesty when addressing relationships, even if it means she appears a little vulnerable, misguided, or out of line. On top of that, her voice is amazing, and she creates albums with a cohesive flow. Recently, Summer made a cryptic return to the scene by sharing a phone call in “+1(404) 476-6404.” Today, she dropped an actual track called “Heart Of A Woman.”
Minus the snaps, “Heart of a Woman” is a throwback R&B slow jam. Backed by extra smooth production that gives me ’90s vibes, Summer Walker showcases her most passionate, silkiest vocals to remind her man that the only reason their toxic relationship continues is that women tend to give more chances than men. If I were a friend of dude, I’d tell him not to speak while Summer cusses him out. While I wouldn’t call the track overly exciting, I can see it being part of a bigger picture.
Summer Walker might need to date outside of her race for once.
