Fridayy Returns With “Back To You”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Fridayy’s music is perfect for the fall.

If you don’t feel Fridayy’s music in your soul, you may have to book a doctor’s appointment to ensure you have one. The Philly singer possesses a voice that can move mountains, and he delves into topics in his music that are deeper than a bag of fries from Five Guys. After going on a pretty impressive feature run, appearing on albums by Hunxho, GloRilla, and more, Fridayy has returned with a new solo single called “Back To You.

In “Back To You,” Fridayy addresses a relationship marked by its toxic moments, yet the intimacy is so rewarding that he can overlook the negatives. The track features traditional R&B production, which isn’t his usual style, but he rises to the occasion with a confident and powerful performance that’s highly infectious. Interestingly, the verses are more enjoyable than the chorus, though both are fire.

Fridayy has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard.
