Tory Lanez Drops “Transaction” & “Just The Way”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Tory Lanez isn’t stopping anytime soon.

I’m no longer interested in hearing excuses from artists. This year, even from jail, Tory Lanez has released more tracks than Wale has in his entire career. While most of these have come from his Lost Tapes collection, earlier this year, he even blessed us with some new tracks created while incarcerated. Today, two more songs have dropped on streaming services: “Just The Way” and “Transaction.”

“Just The Way” is powered by an easygoing beat with a splash of island vibes. Over it, Tory Lanez sings about falling in genuine love with someone, mentioning someone he sees as a potential match to steal his heart. The song features a heartwarming chorus that’s infectious at times, and Tory delivers a solid vocal performance on the verses.

“Transaction” is slightly edgier than “Just The Way.” While it still has some chill vibes and features a singing version of Tory, the track also boasts a beat with a solid knock, flossier and more carefree lyrics, and daring melodies. It’s a complete vibe and easily one of the best tracks from his Prison Tapes.

Check out Tory’s new tracks below.
