Rating: 2 out of 5.This video is disturbing and very anti-Christmas.
Kim Kardashian, yes, the Kim K we’ve been obsessed with for years, has finally dipped her toes into the music world (though I wouldn’t say she’s fully committed). After being constantly linked to rappers, married to one, and name-dropped in countless rap songs, Kim has decided to release a Christmas song, covering Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby” (I didn’t see that coming)!
As you’d expect, the song’s musicality isn’t the standout feature here. What we get is a soft, subtle rendition of the classic, with a jazzy, dinner party vibe (Kudos to Travis Barker for his production). Honestly, the music itself is difficult to focus on, as it’s buried beneath layers of background noise. But the music video? That’s where the real attention lies. Kim K slinks through a chaotic, madhouse setting, complete with fights, people who look like they’ve overdosed, muscle-bound men, Christmas decorations, and even dice rolling. And the person behind all the madness? Well, I won’t spoil it, but it’s one of your favorite childhood Christmas icons. The music video, which was produced by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, is certainly something you won’t forget.
Kim K is no less than a nine still.
