Drake Addresses Loyalty In New Freestyle With Conductor Williams

Welp, look like the remnants of the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake beef has carried over to 2025.

According to my calculations, 2025 could be an unbelievable year for Drake. Why? Because he skipped dropping an album last year, and there seems to be lingering tension with an LA rapper that might have him feeling like his back is against the wall. Today, a new freestyle from Drake surfaced online, giving insight into his current mindset.

In the middle of one of Conductor Williams’ videos on YouTube, Drake delivers a 2:58 freestyle where he touches on feeling cornered, dealing with betrayals, and seemingly throwing shots at his rival, Kendrick. While many will undoubtedly dissect his every word like it’s a hidden code, the quality of his raps is undeniable—it’s fantastic.

It feels so damn good not to have a dog in the race when it comes to the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef. It just allows you to see things more clearly. That said, since he lost the beef, I wonder if people think his pen game has fallen off. I do not, and it’s evident in this track.

Also, can we not act like Drake isn’t saying some real s**t in this track? People he helped elevate have backstabbed him, and somehow, he’s painted as the bad guy. Though this track seems to have been recorded a few weeks ago (Drake still has cornrows in the video), I believe it offers a glimpse into where his head is at.
