Jay Rock & 2 Eleven Team Up For “Black Dynamite”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

DYNOMITE!

Y’all say you want kick-ass bars, but can you handle kick-ass bars in 2025!? One of your first tests comes with “Black Dynamite,” a rappity-rap banger featuring TDE’s Jay Rock and the legendary 2 Eleven.

It’s been a minute since Jay Rock last dropped heat—his most recent track, “Still That Way,” arrived in 2023, a collaboration with BongoByTheWay. Meanwhile, 2 Eleven kept fans fed throughout 2024 with bangers like “Type Shit,” “Classic,” and “Progression.”

On “Black Dynamite,” 2 Eleven kicks things off with reflective bars, reminiscing about his grind, earning g-status by 28, staying loyal to his day ones, and stacking up money faster than ever. Jay Rock follows up with a razor-sharp verse, flexing about his earnings while addressing challengers who think they can test him.

The standout element of this track is Playa Haze’s production, which radiates a funky, ’70s buddy-cop vibe that’s impossible not to love. Jay Rock absolutely slides on the beat, flowing with unparalleled precision, while 2 Eleven delivers his lines with a sarcastic swagger that cuts deep. All in all, this track is a certified banger that deserves far more appreciation than it’ll likely get.

P.S. Jay Rock always raps like he just walked out of an altercation.”
