5. Gen Z Luv
This is the realest love song I’ve heard in a minute.
“Gen Z Luv” is unique because the music is romantic and sweet at first, but then the lyrics come in. This song really embodies what it’s like trying to get to know someone in the age of social media. Central Cee talks about hearting posts, mutuals, and sliding into DMs. You know, the things that my grandmother wouldn’t have a clue about. Central is so intricate with the way he phrases things to match the theme of this song, and it pays off.
4. Now We’re Strangers
I’m a sucker for a good breakup song.
I love the vulnerability in this song. Central Cee opens up about a past relationship, and it hits hard. He still sees the good in his former partner and speaks a lot about the positive memories he has with her. He admits fault, talks about his own mistakes, and gets real with the audience. This song makes you feel like you’re watching someone learn and grow from the past. I mean, we basically are.
3. Gata (Feat. Young Miko)
I couldn’t understand half of the lyrics…
And it still hit. This featured track has a lighthearted vibe. The song has a fun beat that makes you want to move, and Central Cee delivers straight facts throughout the track. Puerto Rican singer and rapper Young Miko brings a smooth flow and a gorgeous singing voice that really amplifies Central’s lines. The song is sensual, but Central Cee still goes hard.
2. GBP (Feat. 21 Savage)
This song is about money.
Once again, Central Cee is coming in with facts, facts, facts. He’s blunt, shady, and real in this song. 21 Savage fits seamlessly throughout the verses, and there were a few bars that cut so deep, I had to play it back to assess the damage. GBP, also known as British Pound Sterling, is the perfect name for this track. It’s all about money and opps, and Central Cee is not playing when it comes to either of those things.
1. Limitless
Central didn’t swear a single time in this song.
Honestly, this song had me in my feelings. Central Cee dives into topics that many can relate to, talking about struggling with bills, growing up in a single-parent household, government assistance, and more. The track showcases the hardships Central had to endure to get to where he is today, and it feels empowering. The piano and vocals complement the lyrics perfectly, strengthening the powerful message.

If you look at Central Cee’s about page on Spotify, it states that his biography is depicted through his music and that you can probably find his stats on Wikipedia. If any other artist had a bio that simple and sure of themselves, I’d probably have to roast them a little bit. But Central Cee? He is real, y’all. He’s actually him.
Central Cee’s music tells me everything I need to know about that man. He talks about everything—his home, his morals, his money, his future, and his idea of love. There aren’t many questions you could ask that aren’t already answered within his discography. I have so much respect for the brutality, realness, and truth that’s scattered through his song lyrics. I feel like many of his fans feel the exact same way.
CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS speaks a lot about different forms of struggle. Central Cee talks about challenges with finances, relationships, family, friends, and enemies. He raps about his mental health, emotional turmoil, and having the strength and determination to still come out on top. I think he did a great job telling a story that people can understand, empathize with, and relate to.

This review was awful. Can we get one from Quincy. You picked two of the worst songs in the top 5.
