SAILORR just surprised us with a crazy remix.

Florida artist and producer SAILORR has teamed up with R&B hit singer Summer Walker for a remix of SAILORR’s breakout single, “POOKIE’S REQUIEM.”

Released in November of last year, the original song quickly became a viral Tiktok hit, gaining millions of streams almost instantly. “POOKIE’S REQUIEM (Feat. Summer Walker) [Hehe Look Y’all I Made It Longer]” is the first drop for SAILORR since “W1LL U L13?” was released last December. 

The Jacksonville singer has some soul, y’all! And that makes sense to me because her list of musical inspirations includes legendary R&B artists like Lauryn Hill, Andre 3000, and Destiny’s Child. Her signature sound is very unique, combining that beloved ’90s R&B groove with an edgy, alternative twist.

Let’s not forget to mention the fact that SAILORR’s lyrics are absolutely brutal on this track. She somehow stays cool, calm, and collected while delivering shot after shot. It’s a breakup song, a self-love song, and a diss song. It’s not about me, but it hurt my feelings anyway.  

I’m a Summer Walker fan, and this track feels very elevated with her featured on it. The two artists harmonize so well together. Summer brings a smooth, sultry, slightly deeper tone that really compliments SAILORR’s voice. Overall, this was an excellent pairing.
