Djo & Dominic Fike Teased as Openers for Tame Impala’s ‘Deadbeat Tour’ in North America

Okay… this might actually be elite casting.

Djo and Dominic Fike are being teased as openers for Tame Impala’s upcoming Deadbeat Tour across North America, and if this becomes official, the indie-alternative crowd is about to have the year of their lives.

Let’s start with Djo.

The artist, also known as Joe Keery, has been steadily building his own musical universe, and last year was huge for him. Between the final season of Stranger Things and his song “End of Beginning” going viral again, Djo quietly became one of the most replayed alt-pop voices on streaming. The track took on a life of its own, nostalgic, dreamy, and slightly existential, which fits perfectly within the Tame Impala orbit.

And let’s not forget, Djo starred in Tame Impala’s “Loser” music video. So this connection feels intentional. It feels aligned. It feels like something Kevin Parker would absolutely co-sign.

Now add Dominic Fike to the mix.

Dominic has that genre-blending, slightly chaotic yet effortlessly cool energy that works beautifully in a live setting. Last year, he teamed up with BLACKPINK’s JENNIE on “Love Hangover,” once again proving he can slide between alt-rock, pop, and R&B seamlessly. His stage presence alone would make him a perfect tone-setter before Tame Impala takes over.

If this lineup holds, the Deadbeat Tour will not just be a concert. It will be a full sonic experience filled with psychedelic textures, indie heartbreak anthems, moody lighting, and at least one moment where the crowd collectively ascends.

North America, you might want to prepare emotionally.
