Marlon Wayans Goes Off On Soulja Boy & Defends Snoop Dogg & Nelly For Trump Involvement

Damn, did Marlon have to do Big Soulja like that?

Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy’s performances at Donald Trump’s “Crypto Ball” last week have sparked many conversations. People all over are criticizing these prominent black rappers for supporting a figure like Trump, who some feel has been harsh towards the black community. While few celebrities have publicly defended their actions, Marlon Wayans stepped up to offer an explanation.

In a recent interview with The Wiz 101.1, the Scary Movie actor defended Snoop Dogg and Nelly, suggesting they may not have realized the event was tied to Donald Trump and even shared that he himself has been in similar situations. However, when it came to Soulja Boy, Marlon didn’t hold back, shading him by saying he probably just needed the money and that his career is cooked.

Marlon Wayans Clowns Soulja Boy While Defending Nelly and Snoop Dogg

So, why are people so upset with Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross (who seems to be left out of most of the conversations)? I think it’s because these are figures people wouldn’t expect to align themselves with Donald Trump. Ultimately, we don’t know how much they were paid (if at all), if they’ve had private talks with Trump, or even if they care about his views. But the excuse of not knowing what they were walking into doesn’t sit right with me. At the end of the day, they made a decision that worked for them, and it seems like they don’t care about the ramifications.

Do you agree with Marlon Wayans here?
