Larry June & 2 Chainz Drop New Single “I Been” Ahead of Collab Album with The Alchemist

Rating: 4 out of 5.

There are three levels of cool in this track.

Larry June and 2 Chainz have a collaboration album on the way, and while it may not generate the same level of anticipation as other high-profile releases, fans of all three artists have plenty to look forward to. The project is particularly intriguing because of how distinct their styles are—The Alchemist brings a refined, debonair sound, 2 Chainz delivers his signature animated and carefree energy, and Larry June exudes a laidback, effortless cool. Together, they create a fusion that’s bound to be an interesting listen.

Following the release of their first single, “Bad Choices,” the trio is back with a new track, “I Been. “Produced by The Alchemist, the song features an elegant, old-school beat with an incredibly soothing vibe. Over it, 2 Chainz and Larry June trade verses about their player lifestyles, effortless money-making, and indulgence in both shaky and non-shaky vices.

One of the standout elements of “I Been” is the duo’s seamless back-and-forth delivery—2 Chainz sounds like the homie telling wild stories while cruising at 45 MPH, while Larry raps with the relaxed demeanor of someone swinging in a hammock. The result? Pure coolness.

Check out “I Been” now and stay tuned for more from this unexpected but highly promising trio.
